Why do people write in blogs?

Is blogging merely for self-serving purposes in the hopes of gaining a wide audience, or for educational awareness? Well, being a writer myself I just assumed off the bat that every blogger uses them for the default: to share their experiences and to tell their stories. And until now, I never felt I had a story worth sharing.

My first year in college forced my inner child to recoil and the soon-to-be adult undergo a curious change when I suddenly felt detached from all I knew about my native heritage and even myself. For months this odd behavior lingered with me, and the only way I knew how to remedy this change was to do what I simply love to do: write.

This is my journey. Call it a personal reflective documentation in our grand blogosphere or a coming of age tale of my life as I seek self-discovery through the words, photos, artwork and music that guide me to understand the place I come from. Sometimes it’s just a thought. Other times, it’s an experience.
